Beauty Tips for Men and Woman

What are some first things to do?

So let's talk beauty. And men this includes you. No, I'm not going to ask you to use makeup but it is just as important for men to do these things as it is for woman. So, what are some of the first things you should do?

Plain and simple, wash your face, every morning and every evening cause men, you may not see the dirt and grime that your face collects but it's there. And for healthy skin, it's as simple as washing your face. I like to find an all natural face wash so that what's going on my face is gentle and has no chemicals.

You can buy natural face wash or you can make your own. Here are some recipes that you can do at home (and you probably have most of these ingredients in your cabinet). They will leave your skin feeling refreshed, hydrated and feeling clean without any added chemicals.

This is an Aloe Vera Face Wash.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/4 cup aloe vera gel
  • 2 tablespoons almond oil
  • 2 tablespoons rosewater
  • 1 tablespoon soapwort extract
  • 5-10 drops lavender essential oil
  • 3-5 drops or 1 capsule vitamin E oil (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Mix all ingredients together and store in container with tight fitting lid
  2. To use: wet face, apply in small circles and rub in for 30 seconds, wash off with warm water
  3. The water and oil may separate so shake well before use

I found this one if you have sensitive skin.

INGREDIENTS
  • 3 Tbsp Organic Extra virgin Coconut oil ( Removes make up, moisturizes with anti-aging properties),where to buy coconut oil.
  • 1 Tsp Raw Honey ( soothes and heals skin, purges bacteria), where to buy raw honey
  • 1 Tsp Baking Soda ( gently exfoliates, draws out toxins)
  • 1 small container with lid

  1. Put Coconut oil in a small bowl and stir with a spoon, if it is really hard then warm spoon under hot water, dry spoon, and stir oil with warm spoon until creamy ( not liquid).
  2. Add Tsp Honey and stir in well.
  3. Add baking Soda and stir in very well.
  4. Spoon into clean container with lid.
  5. Store at room temperature.
  6. No worries if if hardens, it will melt when applied to skin from your body heat.
  7. DIRECTIONS:
  8. Use a small spatula ( found in make up section at drug store) or tiny spoon to scoop out a small amount ( pea size).
  9. apply to face and neck, and move fingers in circles around face to exfoliate.
  10. Let set on face for a minute to draw out toxins.
  11. Rinse and remove with warm water and a wash cloth.
  12. There may be some oil residue left, but it absorbs quickly, and goes away as soon as you pat dry with clean dry towel.
  13. You may not need a moisturizer at all after this, but if you do, then just a super tiny amount of plain coconut oil works well.

  1. I just mixed up some of this and applied it to my hands (and arms cause a little goes a really long way, LOL). It absorbed so quickly and left my hands feeling so smooth and not oily. I love it!
